Baby Room

At this age, babies are observers; ready to learn and they do this by observing, imitating and listening to others. This is often referred to as ‘observation learning’, whereby babies can learn by simply observing the world around them.

Our Baby Room has been designed to be a true home-from-home for your little ones, enabling them to grow, play and rest in comfortable and loving surroundings.

Toddler Room

At this age, our Toddlers are discovers as children are discovering more about themselves and their environment. They are now more confident and able to move around more freely; discovering new things each day.

Our environment supports this by being an Open Plan space, offering a fun and stimulating environment where babies are encouraged to investigate and learn the basic skills they need to develop.

Kindergarten Room

Then children are ready to move into Kindergarten, they are natural explorers and motivated to learn from a very young age. Children’s drive for learning comes from their fascination with everything that captures their attention.

At this age children will experience a huge amount of thinking, learning, social and emotional changes that will help them explore the world around them and make sense of it. We ensure these young children are able to enjoy and develop by providing access to the activities they like to do and find interesting.

Pre-School Room

As children grow into early childhood, their world will begin to open up. They will become more adventurous and independent and begin to show more interest in getting to know people outside of the family.

They will want to explore and ask about the things around them even more. Their interactions with those around them will help to shape their personality and their own ways of thinking and moving. Pre-School rooms are equipped with all the facilities children need for a fun and stimulating time, that will prepare them for their new adventure at primary school.

Outdoor Learning & Forest School

Our curriculum at Altrincham Day Nursery is designed to meet the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of each child. We offer a play-based approach that encourages exploration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

We are proud to offer outdoor learning at our nursery settings as well as teaching with our qualified Forest School Leader. Forest School learning helps children develop physical strength, coordination, and agility as part of a series of long-term sessions that build on the needs and development of the child.

Starting at The Nursery

We understand that children and their parents have to make emotional adjustments when starting at a nursery. It is especially important for parents and the staff to work together to help the child feel confident and secure within their new environment. Our aim is for children to feel safe, stimulated, and happy in the nursery and to feel secure and comfortable with all staff. We also want parents to have confidence in both their children’s continued well-being and their role as active partners, with the child being able to benefit from what the nursery has to offer. All our staff know about the importance of building strong attachments with children. They are trained to recognise the different stages of attachment and use this knowledge to support children and families settling into the nursery.
