From 3 months to approximately – 16 months
At this age, babies are observers; ready to learn and they do this by observing, imitating and listening to others. This is often refereed to as ‘observation learning’, whereby babies can learn by simply observing the world around them.
Our Baby Room has been designed to be a true home-from-home for your little ones, enabling them to grow, play and rest in comfortable and loving surroundings.
Aged approximately 16 – 28 months
At this age, our Toddlers are discovers as children are discovering more about themselves and their environment. They are now more confident and able to move around more freely; discovering new things each day.
Our environment supports this by being an Open Plan space, offering a fun and stimulating environment where babies are encouraged to investigate and learn the basic skills they need to develop.
Aged approximately 24 – 36/40 months
When children are ready to move into Kindergarten, they are natural explorers and motivated to learn from a very young age. Children’s drive for learning comes from their fascination with everything that captures their attention.
At this age children will experience a huge amount of thinking, learning, social and emotional changes that will help them explore the world around them and make sense of it. We ensure these young children are able to enjoy and develop by providing access to the activities they like to do and find interesting.
Aged 36 months onwards
As children grow into early childhood, their world will begin to open up. They will become more adventurous and independent and begin to show more interest in getting to know people outside of the family.
They will want to explore and ask about the things around them even more. Their interactions with those around them will help to shape their personality and their own ways of thinking and moving. Pre-School rooms are equipped with all the facilities children need for a fun and stimulating time, that will prepare them for their new adventure at primary school.
Our curriculum at Altrincham Day Nursery is designed to meet the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of each child. We offer a play-based approach that encourages exploration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
We are proud to offer outdoor learning at our nursery settings as well as teaching with our qualified Forest School Leader. Forest School learning helps children develop physical strength, coordination, and agility as part of a series of long-term sessions that build on the needs and development of the child.
